Communicator. Humanitarian. Content Strategist.
I am a communications specialist focused on innovation and advocacy. Storytelling and a love for humanity drive my work.
I am naturally curious with a dose of wanderlust. In my 20s, I left my in home in Arkansas to study, work, and live abroad. After completing two graduate degrees in Rome, Italy, I consulted with the United Nations and international organizations.
I am continuously exploring the humanitarian, sustainability and digital worlds. I value developing diverse skill sets that serve a larger purpose.
People are at the core of all of my work. I want good in the world, and I will seek it. Myers-Briggs tells me I am an INFJ. I analyze, feel, and act.
Photography
I have been taking photographs since I was 14 years old. I started making it a career during my university years and worked for the University of Arkansas as a published yearbook photographer. I have also worked as a contract photographer with Bella Baby Photography. I now work independently in documentary projects, travel journalism, portraits, and events. I want my photographs to capture the intricate beauty in reality.
Communications
I have held various positions with an emphasis on communications throughout my secondary education and professional career, having over 10 years of experience. I value productive dialogue, creative solutions, transparency, and engaging brands. I have worked on executive-level campaigns, articles, blogs, and social media accounts. I have experience with content creation, video editing, and graphic design using Canva and Adobe Creative Suite. I have also led website migrations and redesigns, offering both strategic guidance and technical support. From the construction of a strategy for leadership to behind-the-scenes work on the logistics, I get the job done. Communication and identity are in the details.
Research and Writing
My work spans from social media and web articles to research papers and policy briefs. My educational background required a substantial amount of writing and research. I completed several qualitative research projects focused on human rights and political history. This background is the backbone of my professional work. I have written pieces on democratic governance, artificial intelligence, and the rise of social media advocacy. I have also worked as a research consultant for the Alliance of Bioversity International and CIAT, focusing on gender and agricultural value chains. An international mindset and critical thinking are reflected in my authorship style. I focus on the important, digestible messages of each piece, while informing key audiences.
